American-Nigerian actress and comedian Ayo Edebiri received the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards for her performance as Sydney Adamu in the critically acclaimed comedy-drama series “The Bear.”
The actress is known for her phenomenal performance in the two-season television series The Bear. The show has a five-star rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is known for its fast-paced and exciting intensities throughout the dramedy.
In her acceptance speech at the award event, Ayo credited her on-screen family, her real family, and everyone she has worked with for her success and the show’s success.

The actress is also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for “The Bear.”
