Nigerian women shine on Victoria’s Secret VS World Tour 2023 pink carpet

The Victoria’s Secret VS World Tour pink carpet displayed the epitome of the fashion industry’s elite, graced by a substantial representation of Nigerian women.

Victoria’s Secret, the renowned global intimates retailer, is back, celebrating fashion and creativity in a big way. Sequel to Victoria’s Secret’s iconic runway shows, the last aired in December 2018 on CBS, the much-anticipated VS World Tour 2023 came as a unique fusion of fashion events and documentaries. It is all set to stream on Prime Video from September 26.

This global fashion extravaganza promises to take viewers on a captivating journey behind the scenes, delving into the artistic process and personal narratives of the VS20, a group of 20 innovative global creatives. In the list are creative director IAMISIGO, Bubu Ogisi, film director Korty, artist and writer Eloghosa Osunde, creative director and stylist Ashley Okoli, and multifaceted creative Wavy The Creator.

The tour kicked off on September 6, 2023, in New York, with its pink carpet unveiling.

At the Pink carpet, the Lagos House was well-represented. Korty turned heads in a sheer, bedazzled, long black dress by Idiol Nupo paired with cornrows. Wavy the Creator showcased her unique style in a monochromatic three-piece ensemble with eyewear from Pieceetpatch.

They stood alongside global stars Priyanka Chopra in Giambattista Valli Official, supermodel Naomi in handmade brass dress by IAMISIGO for Victoria’s Secret, and Mayowa Nicholas in handwoven IAMISIGO for Victoria’s Secret.

Bubu Ogisi rocked a red chainmail ensemble, complete with her signature hat in red, while Eloghosa Osunde sported a black fringe dress with a corseted bodice and a black sheer veil. Although Ashley couldn’t attend the event in person, she blessed us with images of her in a beige knit minidress and her signature makeup.

Inclusively, it encourages women to embrace their creativity and boldly pursue their dreams, with the knowledge that remarkable success on the world stage is attainable.

As we eagerly await the Victoria’s Secret World Tour 2023, we continuously celebrate the House of Lagos and all the Nigerian women who continue to inspire us with their creativity, passion, and unwavering commitment to making a lasting impact on fashion and beyond.
