Marie Claire Nigeria cover star Mo Abudu partners with Idris Elba on short film “Dust to Dreams” 

Idris Elba is collaborating with Marie Claire Nigeria’s cover star, Mo Abudu of Ebony Life Films and Afreximbank, to release his upcoming short film, “Dust to Dreams.”

Idris Elba, renowned for his roles in “Luther” and “Hijack,” is stepping into the director’s chair for the upcoming short film. Joining him on set are Nigerian actors Nse Ekpe Etim, Eku Edewor, Atlanta Bridget Johnson, and former Nigerian Idol contestant Constance Olatunde

This collaborative effort between EbonyLife Films, led by Mo Abudu, and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) through its Creative Africa Nexus (Canex) initiative promises to deliver a compelling cinematic experience.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Lagos, Nigeria, “Dust to Dreams” explores the poignant relationship between a mother and her teenage daughter as they navigate the emotional journey of meeting the father for the first time.
