We got ready with at the AMVCA’s 2023 with Enado Odigie

Enado Odigie is on of Nollywood’s most bankable actresses. With 85 credits in film and television, Enado has been bringing many of Nollywood’s most memorable characters on screen, with roles on many beloved Africa Magic series including ‘Tinsel’, ‘AM Unbroken’, ‘AM Unmarried’ and the 2018 fantasy Epic ‘Esohe’.  Enado was recognised for her stellar work on the Showmax series ‘Flawsome’ at with a nomination in the best actress category at the 9th Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards. It was an opportunity for Enado to step out from behind the characters that have come to define her career in Nollywood and step into the limelight as a bonafide Hollywood star.

We went behind the scenes on Enado’s big day, following her through the prep that goes into getting glammed up for the biggest night in film and television on the continent. For a big night like the AMVCA’s, every nominee brings their A-game as the event is televised across the continent and a fashion statement on the AMVCA carpet can dominate conversations for weeks after the event. Enado Odigie has a close knit glam team that she has worked with to develop and refine her aesthetic as a screen goddess and the AMVCA’s gave them the perfect opportunity to push the boundaries a bit and experiment with fashion and beauty.

The dress was the foundational piece in building Enado’s AMVCA look. She chose a gorgeous yellow chartreuse halter dress from bridal and event designer Emagine By Bukola accented by beaded swirls. The drama was heightened by a foamy green chartreuse organza stole, a perfect complement to an already scene stealing look. For hair and make up, Enado chose a sleek side part and a low ponytail installed by hairstylist StyleByEssa, to accentuate the halter detail of her dress. For the beauty, Enado’s makeup artist Ariyike Glam went with a bold eye look with metallic chartreuse accents for a power look on the red carpet.

The finished look was a masterclass in monochromatic high glamour and we are still in awe of Enado. Relive the moment and hear Enado talk about her craft, her approach to fashion and her experience at the AMVCA’s.
