It’s kind of canon now on Instagram, that orange hues on brown skin is a perfect combo. And really, they aren’t wrong because orange on black skin is magical. Orange on any skin, when styled correctly, is beyond. I like to believe that how a person wears colour is an indication of their personality. Orange might not be the easiest colour to wear but there is hardly a wrong way to style it as long as your personality shines through.
One thing that gives me joy is scrolling through Instagram and seeing that pop of colour on the feed. I want you to enjoy what I have been feasting my eyes on, so I curated a little list.

Twitter Inspiration
I also came across this thread of people showing off their orange outfits on Twitter, it’s an interesting one and there are a lot of hits on it. Check it out here.
I spend a somewhat unhealthy amount of time on Twitter (don’t look me up). There is something about that app that gets me all fired up. I got to “play” dress up the other day with orange outfits and a lot of people liked the ensembles I put together. While I wish we had more Nigerian brands with options for everyday pieces, I was able to find some of these pieces in our stores here and also on websites that deliver to Nigeria.

The Slip Set-
In recent times, I have become increasingly partial to silk slip pieces. They are soft and utterly feminine but can also be styled in ways that suit any style you favour. I have personally styled some of these on my Instagram, here and here so you get the versatility I mean. This look is suitable for date nights or holiday brunch.

Street Style
An oversized shirt is one of the most functional fashion pieces you can own. When it comes in a bright colour, styling it is very simple. Pairing it with nice denim shorts & sneakers is a street style mastered look fashion girls love.

Brunch Babe
The corset top and wide legged pant combination is always a hit. It is a classy and chic look that works for quite a number of events. Open to a good number of styling opportunities, you can pop on a blazer for a work meeting or take it off to meet up with friends. A good day to night outfit, it’s a look for everyone.
