Oshoala’s second nomination makes Nigeria the first African country to have two nominees in the male and female category in the same year alongside Victor Osimhen.

Her impressive play in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is just another stepping stone from her UEFA Champions League win in 2021.

With the country in celebration and her fans in complete adoration, Asisat has again proven worthy of the title “Legendary Baller”. The 67th annual ceremony of the Ballon d’Or is slated to take place on the 30th of October, 2023, in Paris.
