Getting ready with Allysyn Audu means you get to watch her shave her head. By herself in front a mirror with a portable clipper. She never lets her hair grow past a buzz cut, but she prefers a clean shave. It opens up her beautiful face and allows you to focus on her stunning features. That shaven head is such a statement, it got her immediately noticed when she walked on to the stage at the start of the 6th Big Brother Nigeria reality tv show.
Allysyn tells us she wasn’t always good at shaving her head herself. She made the decision to start shaving her head herself because she got tired of unsolicited advice from barbers while in the salon. Questions such as, “are you sure you want to cut it that low?” or “how would people know you are a woman?”, were asked in tones that tried to invalidate her decisions. These certainly put her off and she has since gotten perfect at shaving it her own way.

When she went into the Big Brother House, the show that catapulted her to stardom, she had a simple plan, gain an audience and show them how creative she truly is. Since leaving the Big Brother Naija house, Allysyn got in her creative bag with modelling and content creation. Her parents initially pushed against her decision to face content creation full time, but now she states gleefully, her mom is her biggest fan.
