The next day, the team visited the Jabi Mall store in Abuja to explore further expansion opportunities, followed by the final stop at the Ikeja City Mall store, a befitting close to the tour, solidifying Swarovski’s presence in the Nigerian market.
What you need to know about Swarovski Nigeria
Swarovski Nigeria is the premier destination for exquisite yet affordable luxury accessories, offering the world’s finest crystal jewellery. The luxury brand’s presence in Nigeria draws from its 129-year heritage, focusing on trend-setting designs and branding excellence. Each meticulously crafted crystal piece reflects Swarovski’s legacy of creativity and superior quality, telling a story of unmatched craftsmanship and virtuosity.
Meet the new Swarovski influencers
During the visit, the luxury brand introduced two new influencers—Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Efe Irele. Their unique voices and strong connections to Swarovski’s Nigerian audience make them a perfect fit, reflecting the brand’s commitment to collaborating with individuals who embody style, elegance, and modern luxury.
Chika Nnadozie, Head of Marketing at Polo Limited, touched on Swarovski’s global reputation for its crystals, gemstones, jewellery, and accessories. He said, “By partnering with Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Efe Irele, we aim to strengthen Swarovski’s cultural relevance and connection with the local market.” He added that there will be several in-store activations and digital campaigns.
Why Nigeria?
Swarovski’s Regional Sales Manager for sub-Saharan Africa, Jonathan Minter, believes Nigeria is a key market because of its growing middle-class and upper-class population. Commenting on the brand’s strategy, he said, “Our goal is to blend Swarovski’s global heritage with localised marketing to make it a leading brand in Nigeria.”
A commitment to sustainability
With over 65% of the world’s diamonds mined in war-torn African countries, Swarovski reiterated its commitment to an ethical and sustainable approach. They are more interested in fostering local partnerships that support communities in Nigeria. Olamoniso Nduka, Head of Business Development at Polo Limited, addressed media questions on sustainability, stating that “Swarovski leads the charge amongst other global jewellery players [in sustainability] with responsible sourcing and ethical practices.”
Concerning currency fluctuations, he maintained that localised pricing strategies have been implemented to ensure affordability without compromising quality across the various socio-economic classes. Simply put, Swarovski will keep the best quality at the best prices.
Swarovski’s future in Nigeria is as bright as the gems it offers, and we look forward to new product launches and innovative retail experiences. As Swarovski continues to expand its footprint in Nigeria, this visit represents a pivotal moment in its journey, laying the foundation for future successes.
