What got our attention

Topicals have caused quite a stir on social media, with influencers and beauty enthusiasts singing the brand’s praises. The range includes the Faded Eye Mask, Faded Cream, Slick Salve Lip Balm, and the Like Butter Moisturiser. I first noticed these products in viral posts and glowing reviews from skincare aficionados. The hype was simply irresistible! I had to get my hands on it.

Does it live up to the hype?

Unboxing the Topicals products felt like a mini-celebration! The Faded Eye Mask and Faded Cream came in chic, minimalist packaging that’s an Instagrammer’s dream. The Slick Salve lip balm, paired with an ultra-cute pink headband, added a playful twist to my skincare routine. From the smooth delivery to the top-tier customer service at Beauty Hut Africa, every step of the experience was effortless.

Putting it to the test

Faded Eye Mask & Faded Cream

As someone who’s battled dark circles for what feels like forever, I was eager to try this duo. The Faded Eye Mask is reusable, so I felt eco-conscious while trying to fix my under-eye situation (multitasking at its finest!). After the first use, I looked in the mirror, and, surprise—no more zombie eyes! But the Faded Cream required some patience. Consistent use paid off, and slowly but surely, my dark spots faded. My skin texture also improved. Pro tip: persistence does pay off.

This lip balm had me at ceramides, the unsung skincare heroes—they lock in moisture and help restore the skin’s natural barrier, meaning my lips stayed hydrated and protected all day. My lips, constantly on the dry and chapped side, transformed into soft, pillowy goodness. I didn’t expect a lip balm to be such a star of my skincare routine, but here we are. Plus, the pink headband it came with? Adorable. The only con? I now am slightly obsessed with reapplying it because it feels so good.

Like Butter moisturiser

I had high hopes for this moisturiser, and it didn’t disappoint. With my eczema-prone skin, finding a moisturiser that soothes without irritation is rare, but this one nailed it. Funny moment: I slathered on a little too much at first, so I looked a bit shiny—but hey, hydrated skin is happy skin! After regular use, my skin’s barrier felt stronger and less reactive, which was a total win.

So, was it worth it?

For me? 100% The Faded Eye Mask & Cream came through, especially with my constant battle against dark circles and puffiness. Thanks to the Slick Salve Lip Balm, my lips have never felt softer—it’s become my daily go-to. And the Like Butter moisturiser? My sensitive skin is seriously thanking me for it. Topicals didn’t just live up to the hype; it has become a game-changer in my routine!
