Angélique Kidjo is set to make history as the first African honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Four-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo is set to join the ranks of global music icons with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Beninoise-French singer is known for her unmistakable voice, dynamic stage presence and sustained longevity. She will be honoured later this year, in the Recordings category.

This milestone adds another jewel to her glittering crown, which already includes five Grammy Awards, a spot on Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people, and collaborations with legends like Alicia Keys, Carlos Santana, and Philip Glass.
