A bold celebration of identity and imagination, CHANEL’s latest eyewear campaign spotlights visionaries who embody modern artistry — where every frame reveals the soul behind the lens.

CHANEL’s Spring–Summer 2025 Eyewear campaign is a bold meditation on character and creativity — a striking portrait of visionaries who define a generation. Starring actresses Lupita Nyong’o, Margaret Qualley, Nana Komatsu, and artist Kendrick Lamar, the campaign explores eyewear as both a lens and a mirror — a window into identity and imagination.

Photographed by Karim Sadli, the visuals are intimate and expressive, capturing the subtle power of CHANEL eyewear to reveal, conceal, and transform. Each frame becomes a statement — of mystery, clarity, attitude, and artistry.

Worn by a global cast of CHANEL ambassadors, the eyewear featured in the campaign blends timeless signatures with contemporary flair. From hardware that commands attention to silhouettes that nod to retro elegance while remaining resolutely modern, the collection speaks to CHANEL’s enduring mastery of detail and design.

Kendrick Lamar, Pulitzer Prize-winning musician and lyrical architect, brings his singular vision to the campaign, marking a rare collaboration between the House and a male artist. He joins Nana Komatsu, the Japanese actress celebrated for her fearless performances in The World of Kanako, Silence, and The Last 10 Years; Margaret Qualley, the acclaimed American actress whose role in The Substance was met with critical acclaim; and Lupita Nyong’o, the Academy Award-winning Kenyan actress, producer, and bestselling author, who officially joined the CHANEL family as an ambassador in October 2024. This campaign marks her radiant debut.

In Their Own Words

CHANEL was one of my earliest supporters — I wore the House’s designs in 2013 when 12 Years a Slave was released. Since then, they’ve treated me with such warmth and generosity. Becoming an ambassador felt like a natural continuation of that relationship. What I admire most is CHANEL’s commitment to celebrating the freedom and fluidity of the modern woman. Every piece, including the eyewear, carries that sense of joy and liberation. And truly, CHANEL glasses are as comfortable as they are exquisite — equally suited for statement moments or understated elegance.”

“My journey with CHANEL began when I was just sixteen. Being welcomed into the House at such a young age made me feel seen in a way I’ll never forget. CHANEL glasses have this cinematic quality — you put them on and you’re suddenly someone else: Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly… there’s mystery, there’s allure. They help you hide — but beautifully.”

“For me, eyewear completes a look — it sharpens or softens, depending on my mood. CHANEL’s designs always reflect contrast: elegance with a touch of rebellion, minimalism with a whisper of drama. That duality speaks to me. Gabrielle Chanel’s legacy of freedom and self-expression inspires how I choose to move through the world.”

“CHANEL’s legacy is timeless — that’s something I respect. Since they don’t make menswear, eyewear was the right space for us to meet. There’s a clarity to this campaign. It’s about vision, both literal and creative.”

The CHANEL Spring–Summer 2025 Eyewear collection is a study in contrasts — bold yet refined, iconic yet new. It invites wearers to look deeper and express freely, through frames that don’t just accent the face but speak volumes about the soul behind the lens.
