Lights, camera, accolades! The wait is over – The 2025 AMVCA winners are in!
The 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) was a night filled with star power, spotlighting the best of African film and Television.
Over four spectacular days, from May 7–10, the AMVCA delivered pure magic, spotlighting the best in film, culture, fashion, and music. On Wednesday, 7 May, the AMVCA celebrated Icons of Film and Television. The day was set apart to honour veterans whose stories, performances, and productions helped shape African film and television into what it is.
For day 2, Young Film Makers were hosted to panel sessions and mentorship programs to learn and network. Friday, 9 May was the Cultural Day, which was a grand showcase of Africa’s rich culture and creativity. Finally, the 2025 AMVCA concluded tonight with the grand finale, the Awards Night—a star-studded awards night honouring the year’s talented actors and unforgettable films.
According to Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, at MultiChoice, a panel of experts judged 18 categories, while 10 were open to public voting.
